I’ve just registered for camp. What are my next steps?

After registering, you should receive and email confirming your registration. The email will prompt you to log back in to your account using your email address and the password you set up. Please log back in and scroll down to the “Forms and Documents” link on your home page. From there, fill out the “Health History Form” and “Authorized Grown-Ups Form.” These forms MUST be completed before you attend camp. Please also take the time to read the Camp Parent Handbook. This handbook provides vital information about how to prepare for the week, camper expectations, and health and safety.

My child attended camp last year. Do I need to fill his/her “Health History Form” and “Authorized Grown Ups Form” again?

All the information on the forms will be saved from last year. Please log back in, review the forms, update information if needed, and submit the form.

Can I request a buddy/friend to be in my child’s group?

We created the one buddy request system for new campers. We want first-time campers to feel comfortable and sometimes it helps if you already know someone in your group.

The biggest way we accomplish our mission is to help children discover new things outside of their normal social settings and environment. This is the reason we do not intentionally create groups where three or more children have requested to be together. Our goal is for each child to build new relationships and not be confined by the current social grouping.

If you are requesting a camp buddy, please list only one other camper. The other camper must request you also for Buddy Requests to be accepted. Enter the buddy's first and last name, I.E. "John Doe". Please do not add any additional information to this field as it could cause your request to get rejected by the system. This camper must be no more than one year of age apart from your camper.

Any Camp Buddy Request that does not meet age requirements, requests for more than one camper, or campers that do not request your camper in return will not be approved.  We do not accept more than one buddy request.

We make every effort to honor Camp Buddy requests, but they are not guaranteed.

Do I need to send a lunch with my camper?

No, Camp DaKaNi supplies lunch each day. On Monday Wednesday and Friday, lunch is served in our dining hall. On Tuesday and Thursday groups cookout lunch over a fire. For more information, view our Camp Parent Handbook.

What should I do for lunch is my camper has a dietary restriction or food allergy?

Please indicate allergy or dietary needs on the Health History form. The more you inform us, the better we can prepare our staff and make needed arrangement. Please feel free to contact the office staff with any concerns you may have. For more information about our camper health policies, view our Camp Parent Handbook.
